Standart 2017 – Triennial of Contemporary Art in Armenia
(Catalogue 18.5 x 24cm)
Published by Skira, July 2018 and Copyright Armenian Art Council, ART for the World and the artists
Standart 2017 – Triennial of Contemporary Art in Armenia, drawing on very different traditions and backgrounds, has enabled the artists through a variety of displays to create a connection between their artistic research and the Armenian culture, an intergenerational dialogue on narratives inspired by shared memories and experiences. The richness in approaches and interpretations of this Triennial has allowed to unfold, through the eyes and sensitivities of all the participants, the relevance Armenia holds in its triple role as host, as a source of inspiration, and as fertile subject for contemporary art practices.

A Contemporary Art Experience
(Book 14 x 22cm)
Published by Skira, July 2018 and Copyright Christian Oxenius
Inspired by the words of the un nished novel « Mount Analogue » by French author René Daumal, « A Contemporary Art Experience » traces an idea of art back to a constant research and exploration. Drawing on an account of the events surrounding the staging of « Standart 2017 – Triennial of Contemporary Art in Armenia », the novel by Christian Oxenius develops a narrative in which the experience of art becomes the binding factor of a group of artists in a journey through Armenia.
Christian Oxenius is a German-Italian author, curator and researcher.
"A Contemporary Art Experience" is his first novel, written in an attempt to seek a new language to discuss critically about contemporary art and its position in today’s world.
